Correcting Violet Microblading: The Power of Patient PMU Removal

Why Patience is Crucial in Brow Removal
It is completely natural to want old PMU gone as quickly as possible. However, fading saturated or discolored pigment takes time, proper spacing, and incredible patience.
Pigment Breakdown Takes Time: Whether using saline removal or laser treatments, the removal process relies on your body's lymphatic system to gradually flush out pigment particles. This cycle cannot be rushed.
Skin Healing Between Sessions: Skin needs adequate time—usually 6 to 8 weeks between sessions—to fully recover beneath the surface, even after the top layer appears healed.
The Danger of Aggressive Removal
The biggest mistake a client or technician can make is rushing the process or being overly aggressive with removal methods. Trying to blast away all the pigment in one or two harsh sessions can cause irreversible damage:
Scar Tissue Formation: Aggressive treatment causes trauma, leading to thick, fibrous scar tissue.
Compromised Skin Texture: Damaged skin becomes shiny, smooth, or rubbery, making it extremely difficult for new pigment to take hold later on.
Loss of Hair Follicles: Over-treating the area can permanently damage natural brow hair growth.

We didn't need to strip every single molecule of pigment to achieve a blank canvas—we just needed to lighten the violet tone enough so it wouldn't bleed through her new brows.
Once her brows reached the ideal lightness and her skin was fully restored, we were able to perform a fresh brow application with total control over the new color and shape. Because her skin remained healthy and free of scar tissue, the new pigment implanted effortlessly, leaving her with clean, crisp, and vibrant results.
