Healed Results Are Softer with Nano Hairstrokes
Nano hairstrokes are created using a single needle (or multiple needles) to mimic the appearance of natural brow hairs. The results are delicate, detailed, and airy—ideal for achieving a realistic look. However, when applied to skin that has undergone previous procedures or laser, the healed strokes tend to appear lighter than they would on virgin skin.
Why?
Scar Tissue or Saturated Skin: Skin that’s been previously tattooed or microbladed often has built-up pigment or mild scar tissue that resists new pigment.
Lasered Skin: While laser lightens pigment, it can also thin the skin and make it harder for strokes to hold crisp and vibrant. This is why it’s important to find a laser technician who is knowledgeable in permanent makeup or body tattooing process.
Skin Integrity: Compromised or sensitive skin may not retain ink in the same way healthy, untouched skin does.
This is completely normal—and expected.
Brow Correction Is a Journey, Not a One-Time Session
Clients with previously tattooed brows often need multiple sessions to achieve optimal results. We typically start conservatively, allowing the skin to accept pigment slowly. After healing, touch-ups are crucial to strengthen the hairstrokes and build dimension.
In some cases, additional shading (the “Combo” part of the 4D technique) is used to create balance and blend, while still maintaining the illusion of individual strands.
