Microblading Turning Blue? How Pico Laser & Powder Brows Restored This Client’s Confidence

For nearly ten years, our client committed to her brow routine. Every year or two, she would dutifully book her microblading refresher appointment, hoping for those crisp, hair-like strokes we all see on Instagram. The original work was done elsewhere by another Artist.

But every time her brows healed, the same thing happened: the lines blurred together. Over a decade, that repeated pigment buildup turned her brows from a natural brown to a dull, ashy blue. Fed up with the cool tones and muddy texture, she turned to Google to find a solution—and that’s how she discovered Munique Brows Studio.

She came to us with a clear goal: she wanted to get rid of the cool, ashy blue and finally achieve a warmer, flattering brown that beautifully framed her face.

Here is how we completely transformed her brows using a strategic, multi-step correction plan.

Step 1: Breaking Down a Decade of Pigment with Pico Laser

When pigment has been layered in the skin for ten years, you cannot simply tattoo a warm color over it. Doing so would only result in a darker, even muddier brow. To give her the warm brown she desired, we needed to clear out the old, heavy pigment first.

We started with Pico laser removal. After just one session, the stubborn, cool ashy-blue tones were successfully lifted! However, laser tattoo removal is a process of uncovering layers. Once the blue was gone, it revealed the warm red/orange undertones of the old pigment beneath it.

Step 2: The Power of Partial Removal for an Instant Brow Lift

Correcting the color wasn't our only objective—we also wanted to improve the shape. Over the years, the front and bottom edges of her brows was done slightly downward, making her eyes look heavy.

Instead of removing the entire eyebrow, we utilized partial Pico laser removal to precisely target just the bottom inner corners. By clearing out that specific area of old pigment, we effectively "lifted" inner eyebrows slightly higher. This subtle tweak opened up her eyes and created an instant, youthful frame for her facial features.

Step 3: Transitioning from Microblading to Powder Shading

Because our client was looking for a soft, filled-in, and airbrushed finish, we didn't need to completely clear every molecule of old pigment down to bare skin. One session of Pico laser toning left us with the perfect, neutralized canvas.

Instead of microblading—which her skin had already proven it couldn't hold crisply—we opted for Powder Shading (Ombré Powder Brows).

Using a specialized cosmetic tattooing machine, we layered a customized neutral brown pigment over the remaining warm undertones. The machine shading technique deposits microscopic dots of pigment rather than slicing lines into the skin, making it incredibly gentle and perfect for covering old work.

The Final Result: Crisp, Warm, and Youthful

The combination of targeted laser removal and expert powder shading completely revolutionized her look.

The Verdict: No more ashy blue shadow. No more blurred, muddy lines. Instead, she left Munique Brows Studio with soft, beautifully defined, neutral brown powder brows that sit higher on her brow bone, giving her a refreshed and youthful appearance.
