FAQs For Permanent Makeup Brow
(Microblading, 4D Combo Brows, Ombré Brows)
What is Nano Brows?
Nano Brows or Nano Hairstrokes are a modern, advanced alternative to traditional microblading—but without any incisions. Instead of using a manual blade, a machine pen with a single-use disposable needle gently implants fine hairstrokes into the surface layer of the skin. Each hairstroke is carefully designed to follow your natural brow growth pattern, so once healed, the result is soft, natural-looking brows that blend seamlessly with your existing hair. This technique is suitable for most skin types and is ideal for anyone seeking a more refined, realistic look with minimal trauma to the skin.
What is the difference between Nano Combo Brows and 4D Nano Combo Brows?
Nano Combo Brows is a beautiful blend of nano hairstrokes and powder shading, designed to enhance your natural brows with both softness and structure. In this technique, nano hairstrokes are placed at the front (inner) part of the brows, while the rest is softly filled in with powder shading to create a more defined yet natural look. This style works especially well for clients whose natural brow hairs grow further apart in the inner brow area.
4D Nano Combo Brows take things a step further by placing nano hairstrokes throughout the entire brow, with soft shading added between the strokes to create a more dimensional, full, and hyper-realistic look. This technique focuses on ultra-natural healing with soft fullness, rather than sharp definition, making it ideal for clients who want a realistic “fluffy brow” effect.
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of cosmetic tattooing that uses a manual handheld tool to create fine, hair-like strokes that mimic the look of natural eyebrow hairs. Pigment is carefully implanted just beneath the skin to fill in sparse or uneven areas, helping to improve shape, symmetry, and fullness—while still looking natural.
Before the procedure begins, a brow outline is drawn based on your natural brow shape to guide where the strokes will go. Then, a topical numbing solution is applied to keep you comfortable throughout the process. Once fully numbed, the microblading begins and typically takes about 2.5 to 3.5 hours from start to finish.
Microblading is best suited for those with dry to normal/combination skin types. It’s not recommended for oily skin, as the strokes may blur or fade more quickly over time.
What is Microshading or Ombré Brows?
Microshading is a semi-permanent brow technique that’s especially ideal for those with sensitive or oily skin. Unlike microblading, which creates hair-like strokes, microshading uses a manual or digital tool to gently implant tiny dots of pigment into the top layers of the skin, creating a soft, powdery effect—similar to the look of filled-in brows with makeup.
The technique gives the brows a misty, airbrushed finish, with a smooth gradient of color that enhances the fullness and shape of your natural brows. Think of it as a gentle "powder brow" effect that gives definition without harsh lines. It’s a great option if you prefer a soft, polished look or want to subtly fill in your brows while keeping them looking natural.

The overall healing process depends a lot on your skin type and lifestyle. However, it may take 7-14 days to completely heal. Once your eyebrows start to look patchy, it may take up to 2 weeks to have a fuller natural look. How long is the procedures?
The duration of the procedure can vary depending on your skin type and a few other factors, but typically, these treatments take 2.5 to 3.5 hours. The session is broken down into three main steps:
Numbing: A numbing cream is applied to ensure you feel minimal to no discomfort during the procedure. You may experience slight irritation, but it’s generally mild.
Pre-Drawing/Designing: We will design and outline the shape of your brows to make sure they suit your facial features.
The Procedure: Once everything is set, we begin the actual treatment, creating your beautiful new brows.
When can I resume back to working out after the brow procedure?
It’s important to avoid exercising right after your brow appointment. Exercising opens sweat glands and pores, and while sweat helps flush out dirt and debris, it can expose your freshly done brows to unwanted moisture and bacteria. After a workout, you should wash your entire face to remove dirt and debris. However, when your brows are freshly done, excessive exposure to water can increase the risk of infection and affect the healing process. Sweating excessively can also prolong healing time and reduce the longevity of your brow results. We recommend waiting 48 to 72 hours before resuming light exercise and avoiding intense sweating or heat for at least 7 days.
How long does permanent makeup brow last?
The procedures can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years. It is imperative to understand that the lasting period depends a lot on various factors such as maintenance of brows, the sunlight exposure, and daily care of your skin. To ensure the treatments last for long, it is highly recommended to come back for an annual refresher at 12-24 months. Please email info@muniquebrows.com for assessment first.
