What should I expect during lip blush procedure?

  • Knowing what to expect can help you feel completely at ease before your appointment. Here is a step-by-step breakdown of your Lip Blush experience:

    • 1. The Consultation & Custom Mapping: We begin by discussing your goals, analyzing your natural lip undertones, and selecting the perfect custom pigment blend. I will then precisely map out your new lip symmetry and shape using a specialized pencil so you can preview the design before we begin.

    • 2. Numbing for Comfort: A medical-grade topical anesthetic is applied to your lips to ensure the entire process is as comfortable and pain-free as possible. Most clients report feeling only a light, vibrating pressure.

    • 3. Gentle, Layered Pigment Application: Using a cosmetic tattoo machine and advanced techniques, the pigment is meticulously deposited into the skin. My clinical approach relies on a conservative, "layer-by-layer" technique. By gradually building the color, we protect the delicate skin health of your lips and achieve a soft, beautifully seamless result rather than an overly saturated look.

    • 4. Immediate After-Effects: Right after the procedure, your lips will appear vibrant—similar to a bold lipstick—and you will experience mild to moderate swelling. This is completely normal and typically subsides within 24 to 48 hours.

    • 5. The Healing Process: Over the next 3 to 5 days, your lips will go through a light peeling phase. As they heal, the intense initial color will soften by about 30% to 50%, blending beautifully into a natural, healthy-looking tint.

Total appointment time is typically around 2.5-3 hours, which includes mapping, numbing, and detailed aftercare instructions.

Can I eat or drink liquids after the lip blush procedure?

You should drink any liquids using a straw during the lip healing process. Avoid eating spicy food during healing.
